Parsa Shomali is a Composer and Sound Artist from Tehran, Iran. He is a M.A. in Composition and Musicology and he had the experience of studying at Tbilisi State Conservatoire, The Grieg Academy in Norway and The University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna. He studied Composition with Professors Daniel Biro, Maka Virsaladze and Electronic Composition with Professors Karlheinz Essl, Reso Kiknadze and Tijs Ham.

Sancta Sanctio (Pt.2) is a reflection on what is happening around the composer. He used field recorded samples and he processed them in a way that they created a narrative. A long take recording deconstructed to its bits and grains so they become the bricks to create another narrative which is not any less painful that what the actual recording is. Sancta Sanctio (Pt.2) takes granular synthesis as a mean to create sounds that are metaphor of another ideas and it aims to draw visual pictures in the listener’s head. Even though it gives them enough freedom to create their own interpreted narrative, But what is real is real.
