XXY is a study on granular synthesis and the rhythmic and harmonic aspects of the microsound time scale. it also tries to compare the musical time scales and the transitional bridges between them.

From the formative point of view, it endeavors to simulate the structure of a chromosome and the Genetic abnormalities in human DNA. Klinefelter syndrome (KS), also known as 47, XXY, is a syndrome where a male has an additional copy of the X chromosome.

Kian Hossein
Kian Hossien (b. 1990 Tehran, Iran) started learning music on piano in 2006 and later on got interested in electronic music and music programming. Soon after graduating from QIAU in 2012, he started his professional career as sound artist and sound designer. Meanwhile he found his passion in Western Contemporary Music and composition and began his professional education in music composition with (under supervision of) Nima A. Rowshan and Ardavan Vosoughi. His works have been performed variously in international and domestic festivals, curated programs and events. His researches vary from Sound Processing and Microsound Synthesis, to creative coding and Artificial Intelligence. He is also the winner of the 37th FAJR Theater Festival composition award.

کیان حسین (متولد 1369، تهران) یادگیری موسیقی را از سال 1385 با نواختن ساز پیانو شروع کرد و سپس به موسیقی الکترونیک، و برنامه‌نویسی برای موسیقی علاقه‌مند شد. او اندکی پس از پایان دوره‌ی درسی خود در دانشگاه آزاد واحد قزوین در سال 1383، دوره‌ی کاری خود را به عنوان آهنگساز و طراح صدا آغاز کرد. او در این زمان از اشتیاق خود به موسیقی معاصر غرب آگاه شده و تحصیلات حرفه‌ای خود را با نظارت نیما عطرکار روشن و اردوان وثوقی شروع کرد. آثار او بارها در فستیوال‌های داخلی و خارجی، برنامه‌ها و رخدادهای نمایشگاهی اجرا شده است. پژوهش‌های او در زمینه‌های مانند پردازش صدا، سنتز صدای میکروساند، تا برنامه‌نویسی خلاق و هوش مصنوعی جریان دارد. او همچنین در سال 1397 جایزه‌ی بهترین موسیقیی در بخش اجراهای صحنه‌ای سی و هفتمین جشنواره‌ی تئاتر فجر را دریافت کرده است.
