Nour Kara, is an Iranian electronic music producer based in France. Nour composes and performs live music with analog and digital devices. In this project her electronic music, with glitches, industrial, dark-wave, post-punk influences, EBM sound meets Juliette Capel and her cello. Juliette Capel, multi-instrumentalist from Spain, offers in this project a non-classical interpretation of the cello, sounds that are being processed by effects.

En-shene is translated as “Chained” from French, this poetic choice brings a contrast between chained and ‘Sand’ because the sounds from the translation from Farsi are also pronounced as /Shen/.
This piece, which is indeed a collaboration with Juliette Capel, is produced during an artist residency program in Spain, with Nour Kara using Analog instruments and computer, and Julette makes processed sounds from a Cello.

نور کارا و ژولیت کاپل - آن-شن
نور کارا نام هنرمند ایرانی‌تبار ساکن کشور فرانسه است. او با دستگاه‌های آنالوگ به تولید و اجرای موسیقی الکترونیک می‌پردازد. در این پروژه، اصوات گلیچ، و صداهای موسیقی صنعتی، دارک-ویو، پست‌پانک او با صداهای ویولن‌سل به نوازندگی از ژولیت کاپل در می‌آمیزند. ژولیت کاپل نوازنده‌‌ی سازهای گوناگون اهل کشور اسپانیا است، در این قطعه به تفسیر غیر-کلاسیک از صداهای ساز ویولن‌سل می‌پردازد که سپس توسط افکت‌های صدا پردازش می‌شوند.

«آن-شن»، که در زبان فرانسه به عنوان «در بند» ترجمه می‌شوند، انتخابی شاعرانه برای عنوان است که شامل تضادی میان این عنوان و کلمه‌ی «شن» است، طوری که صدای این بخش از عنوان در زبان فارسی به معنی «شن و ماسه» تلفظ می‌شود.
این قطعه در واقع محصول همکاری این دو هنرمند است که در خلال برنامه‌ی اقامت فرهنگی خاصی در کشور اسپانیا تولید شده است. در این قطعه نور کارا از سازهای آنالوگ الکترونیک و کامپیوتر استفاده کرده‌، همینطور ژولیت به پردازش اصوات تولید شده توسط ساز ویولن‌سل می‌پردازد.
