About the Artist:

Rahi Sinaki (1987) is a high standing and well known figure in the music of Iran. He studied in the Vienna School of Contemporary music, and has a major in playing Tar. He mentions in his autobiography about his life experiences as “he was born in a family which was totally impossible to avoid doing music.His father ‘Mansour Sinaki’ is one of the gifted players of Tar, while his mom was a piano instructor.” His uncles, including Nader Sinaki and Majid Sinaki are also among the players of Santoor and Flute in Iran. Rahi started learning Children's music in 1994, all before learning instructions on Tombak from Maestro Arabi. He first started learning to play Tar with his father Mansour Sinaki prior to receiving more instructions from other masters, including Behrouz Hemmati, Hooshang Zarif, Ata Jangoulak. Sinaki then finished his studies from the Art school for music, earning his bachelor in Music from the University of Tehran. He later on studied another bachelor at Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität (in 2015) as he earned his Master in music composition from MUK - Music and Arts Private University of Vienna (2017).

درباره‌ی هنرمند
رهی سینکی نوازنده‌ی برجسته‌ و شناخته‌شده‌ی موسیقی ایران با گرایش ساز تار و همچنین دانش‌اموخته‌ی موسیقی معاصر از دانشگاه وین، اتریش می‌باشد. رهی متولد سال ۱۳۶۶ است. او در اتوبیوگرافی خود چنین می‌نویسد؛
"در خانوا‌ده‌ای به دنیا آمد که هیچ کاری جز موسیقی نمی‌توانست انجام دهد. پدر او، منصور سینکی، از نوازند‌گان چیره‌دست تار و مادرش مدرس پیانو بود. عموهای او، نادر سینکی و مجید سینکی هم از نوازندگان سنتور و فلوت در ایران هستند. یادگیری موسیقی کودکان را در سال ۱۳۷۳ نزد پروانه حکیم آغاز کرد و پس از آن به فراگیری ساز تنبک نزد استاد اعرابی پرداخت. نوازندگی تار را نیز در ابتدا نزد پدرش منصور سینکی آموخت و پس از آن پیش اساتید دیگری هم‌چون بهروز همتی، هوشنگ ظریف و عطا جنگوک ادامه داد.پس از آن در رشته آهنگسازی از هنرستان موسیقی فارغ‌التحصیل شد و لیسانس نوازندگی موسیقی ایرانی را از دانشگاه موسیقی دریافت کرد. رهی سینکی تحصیلاتش را در خارج از ایران ادامه داد و تا مقطع فوق لیسانس در رشته آهنگسازی به تحصیل در دانشگاه موسیقی و هنر وین پرداخت."

Post-Orientalism Statement

Post-Orientalism is a term coined by the Composer and music theorist Ehsan Saboohi to describe a music language for analyzing the aesthetics of his and his colleagues' compositions. Saboohi defines this language as follows:

"Post-Orientalism is a modern music language that uses microtonal sounds and intervals alongside altered sound chain and block structures to achieve a post-orientalism musical piece in different acoustic and electroacoustic compositions."

Ehsan Saboohi, in his third composition period, is looking for a different language of common Contemporary Classical music trends by taking inspiration from the philosophical-social ideas of the famous philosopher Edward Said (1935-2003).


استینمت موسیقی پُست-اورینتالیسم
پُست-اورینتالیسم اصطلاحی است که توسط احسان صبوحی آهنگساز و تئورسین برای توصیف یک زبان موسیقی برای زیبایی شناسی آهنگسازی او و همکارانش ساخته شده است. صبوحی این زبان را این‌گونه تعریف می‌کند:

«پُست-اورینتالیسم یک زبان موسیقایی مُدرن است که از صداها و فواصل میکروتنال به‌همراه ساختار‌های زنجیره‌ای و بلوک‌های صوتی
دگرگون‌شده‌ برای دست‌یابی به یک اثر موسیقایی پُست-اورینتالیسم در ترکیب‌بندی‌های متفاوت آکوستیک و الکتروآکوستیک استفاده می‌شود.»

صبوحی در دوره‌ی سوم آهنگسازی خود، با الهام و تاثیر از اندیشه‌های فلسفی-اجتماعی فیلسوف برجسته ادوارد سعید (۱۹۳۵_۲۰۰۳) در
جستجوی زبانی متفاوت از جریان‌های موسیقی کلاسیک معاصر رایج غرب است.
